Michael's Flowers began in 1963 in Springfield Va. Michael's son Christopher Polychrones started Michael's of Lake Ridge in 1990. Chris knew as a boy that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps. He began working in his father's store at the age of

sixteen until he opened his own store in 1990. The full business and management of both locations was turned over to Chris in 2000. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers and has taught and lectured throughout the United States. Michael's Flowers is one of the top 500 sending flower shops in the country. Chris also teaches a two-week floral design class in his spare time, call for scheduling.
